Empowering Students, Honoring a Legacy
Supporting college-bound students with scholarships and guidance from the heart
About Our Foundation
In 2019, I began thinking about ways I could keep alive the memory of my grandmother, Christine Council. Even though she joined Jesus in heaven in 2012 after battling breast cancer, I still remember how she made me feel—how her support in all my endeavors was second to none, and how her love could be felt the moment she walked through any door.
I wanted to give back and make others feel as supported as she made me feel. I asked myself, “Why not give financially to support someone in school?” Then I thought, “Wouldn’t I need tens of thousands of dollars to give a scholarship?” The answer was no. A scholarship is simply money given to someone else to help them financially in school—no matter the amount.
So, I started this foundation with just $200, telling myself, “Do not despise small beginnings.” I wanted students to see, through me, the importance of determination and belief in themselves—to start even when they’re unsure of the outcome, and to keep going no matter the situation. All of this, in remembrance of Christine Council.
I remember going to Grandma’s house and seeing only a pitcher of water and a loaf of bread on the table. By the time Mama came to pick us up, if I had been hungry before, I wasn’t hungry anymore—because Grandma always found a way to fill our bellies. That taught me resilience. It was tough seeing her go, but her strength and compassion live through me.
Now, I want to pass those same qualities on to others—and this is where it starts. Love you, Grandma. Now watch how many lives we touch!
Our Mission
Christine Council Foundation mission is to financially help high school seniors get started with pursuing a college education and provide guidance and support until their college graduation.
Our Vision
Our vision is to ensure every scholarship recipient has the resources, guidance, and support needed to reach their fullest potential—academically, personally, and professionally. We believe each student deserves the opportunity not only to outpace inflation and build financial stability, but also to design a life aligned with their passions, purpose, and long-term well-being.
♥️ We aim to empower our students to recognize and cultivate their unique gifts—whether personal, academic, creative, or entrepreneurial—and, when they choose, to confidently monetize those gifts in ways that create sustainable income and meaningful impact.
♥️ We envision our recipients carrying forward our mission by giving back to their communities in ways that honor their individuality and values—uplifting others and inspiring the next generation to believe in what’s possible.
♥️ Through this shared purpose, our guiding message of “Support from the Heart” will continue to unite people globally, fostering connection, compassion, empowerment, and opportunity.
♥️ We see Christine Council’s legacy living on through every student who embodies her spirit of generosity, resilience, and service—transforming their own lives and the lives of those around them.
