Mission statement

The Christine Council Foundation’s mission is to support students on their pursuit of higher education by providing financial assistance and guidance from the time they graduate high school until their college graduation.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to witness our scholarship recipients having the necessary support to achieve their utmost potential and seize opportunities that will enhance their personal and professional growth. We desire our students to pursue careers that will lead to financial stability and a comfortable life. Moreover, we hope to witness our students giving back to their community after graduation. We envision our “Support from the Heart” model spreading worldwide, impacting individuals one by one, and promoting unity. We foresee Christine Council’s influence positively transforming billions of lives, with her name and actions continuing to inspire people.

Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the results. We are accountable for getting scholarships to students and acting as a resource in times of need.

Integrity means that we are reliable, trustworthy, and our character is beyond reproach. As advocates for our students, they can depend on us as a resource to assist them in achieving their educational goals.

Duty is a moral obligation to pay it forward. We demonstrate to our students the importance of paying it forward by being available when they need guidance.

Service is the contribution to the well-being of others. Alone, students can accomplish very little, but with the help of others, there are no limits.

Support is providing assistance, especially in financial terms, enabling others to function or take action. Each student is only one person away from becoming a success story.

Unity is the state of being joined together or in agreement. When there is unity between us and our students, victory is always possible.

Care is the provision of what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of someone or something. Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Education is the transmission of knowledge, skills, and character traits. Through education, students gain the freedom to nurture their passions and grow.

The Founder and his Grandmother

Our Story

In 2019, I thought about ways I could keep alive the memory of my grandmother, Christine Council. Even though she joined Jesus in heaven in 2012 after battling breast cancer, I remembered how she made me feel, how her support in all of my endeavors was second to none, and how her love was felt the moment she walked through any door.

I vividly recall the days spent at Grandma’s house, where a pitcher of water and a humble loaf of bread were our simple provisions. But by the time Mama arrived to collect us, any lingering hunger had vanished, thanks to Grandma’s resourcefulness. She exemplified resilience in its purest form.

I desired to give back and provide the same support she gave me by offering financial assistance to students. I asked myself: “Why not give financially to support someone in school?”. But then would I need tens of thousands of dollars to give a scholarship? NO! A scholarship is money given to another individual, no matter the amount, to support them financially at school. So I started this foundation with $200.

In my journey, I want students to glimpse the unwavering determination and the power of self-belief. It’s about taking that first step, even when the destination is unclear and regardless of the challenges that lie ahead. This quest is a tribute to the enduring spirit of Christine Council.

Losing her was a profound sorrow, yet her indomitable qualities found a new home in me. I share these qualities with others, to ignite the same resilience in their hearts. It begins right here. Grandma, your legacy lives on. Watch how many lives we will inspire and touch!
